A Look Back At Disney Afternoon’s Foray Into Adult Entertainment

You surely have fond memories of The Disney Afternoon, the two-hour block of cartoons back in the ’90s on the Disney Channel. What you might not remember (because you blocked it out) is that ratings for the shows were so good that in 1994, Disney launched another programming block: Disney Afternoon After Dark, which was definitely not for kids. That’s why we’re taking a look back at Disney Afternoon’s foray into adult entertainment.

1. Goofy Nights

Ostensibly a spinoff of Goof Troop, the first episode entails Goofy getting tired of being a “hyuck, eunuch stuck in a go-nowhere town.” He sends his son, Max, to live with relatives and leaves Spoonerville to find himself. He hitchhikes his way across America, where a sexy older woman picks him up and demands payment in the form of sexual favor. He winds up in Miami, where he opens a detective agency. The provincial private dick gets mixed up in the messy lives of his clients, most of them leggy blondes with voracious sexual appetites.

2. Chip ‘n’ Dale: Bedroom Rangers

On Chip ‘n’ Dale: Bedroom Rangers, the titular chipmunks open up a Miami sex therapy clinic, and their methods are … unorthodox. Both Chip and Dale individually romance the female half of a married couple, then join up for a sensual three-way. Another “satisfied” client.

3. Gummi Bares

A look backstage—and into the dressing rooms—at the Gummi Bare, Miami’s hottest full-frontal strip club. All the “entertainers” are from the multigenerational Gummi Bear clan, except they’re all now 22 and wear only G-strings.

4. The Erotic Diaries Of Scrooge McDuck

Paris in the 1950s was a time for celebration and exploration. It was the place to be for artists and libertines, and hunky young Scrooge McDuck was both. On The Erotic Diaries Of Scrooge McDuck, Scrooge narrated (to his nephews) an entry from his sexual memoirs, and he got enough action to fill a coin vault. He had sex in barns with milkmaids, in his studio with artists (male and female, including Pabduck Picquackso), and in the homes of the bored housewives he’d been hired to paint. It sure was fucked up.

  • Chip and Dales Rescue Rangers were my imaginary friends as a child, and I always let gadget and chip fuck in my closet while I distracted the rest of the gang with tea parties or activities.

  • I missed a lot of these, probably because I was more of a Warner Brothers fan. Freakazoid between the sheets was a classic.
