Oh, snap! In this very special episode of the Bunny Ears Podcast, Mack sits down with professional wrestler, comedian, and personal trainer Ryan Nemeth. They wore matching t-shirts while recording this episode, and it really comes through in the audio. This episode is guaranteed to be a Game of Thrones and Endgame spoiler-free zone, because Ryan hasn’t gotten into either of those things.

Ryan talks about his experience as a wrestler and his godlike muscles, revealing the cartoon wrestling move that got him out of being bullied and calling out the friends who watched the whole thing by name. (Listen to see if it’s you!) He also shares what Dolph Ziggler is like in real life (he’s taller than you think, not as short as you think), plus what that man needs to do with his hair (please stop straightening it; it’s not fooling anyone). Mack tries to pitch Ryan a Royal Rumble idea even though Ryan doesn’t work there.

Amid the hilarious wrestling anecdotes, weird voice messages from Ryback where he begs Mack to come on his podcast, and another delightful installment of Meditation Minute with Luis Prada, Ryan reveals the real reason why he came on the podcast: He’s launching a crowdfunding campaign on Seed and Spark for his short film, Heel.

Heel is the story of an up-and-coming wrestler who gets an offer to work for the biggest wrestling company in the world. All he needs to do is stay out of trouble for three weeks, which proves to be harder than it sounds. Heel also explores the dark side of wrestling. Sexual assault and addiction are real issues that plague the world of professional wrestling, yet nobody ever talks about them. Ryan pledges that if Heel gets made, 80 percent of the crew will be women and people of color. Mack pledges that he will make Breckin Meyer donate $6. If that doesn’t make you want to give money to the campaign, we don’t know what will.
