Avengers: Infinity War left us hanging off the cliffs of our seats. With its sequel, Avengers: Endgame, fast approaching, many are hoping for some long-anticipated answers. But, for those of us sharp-sighted members of the WWE Universe, the fate of one Guardian Of The Galaxy is no longer in question, thanks to a bombshell revelation from a recent episode of Monday Night RAW.

As many are aware, Dave Bautista, who portrays Drax in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was once a professional wrestler known as Batista. Following in the footsteps of other grapplers-turned-thespians like Hulk Hogan, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and Drew Carey, Batista has since traded in WWE’s clotheslines for movie theater Red Vines. However, after a recent flare-up of the wrestling bug, Batista returned to the ring for one last match with longtime rival Triple H. And if he thought he could do so away from the watchful eye of Big Iger, he would soon learn otherwise.

A Simple Request

During a heated exchange on RAW, Batista repeatedly spewed the demand, “Give me what I want! Give me what a want!” Attentive Disney execs, mistaking this as a thinly-veiled threat from one of their marquee space-faring superheroes, promptly reinstated James Gunn as Director of Guardians Of The Galaxy, Vol. 3. Batista was, no doubt, pleased with this unintended reaction to his promo but concern set in when he realized that another scene might land him in hot water.

Given that WWE has long been considered off Hollywood’s radar, Batista apparently thought nothing of going straight from the set of Guardians to RAW… while still in costume! And, if the earful Batista got from Mickey Mouse is any indication, this picture truly is worth a thousand words:

That’s right! It seems that not only will Drax survive the effects of Thanos’ Infinity Gauntlet in Avengers: Endgame – he will also find faith along the way! According to RAW, in Guardians Of The Galaxy, Vol. 3, Batista will portray Drax The Deacon! No word yet on how this will affect the Guardians’ team dynamic but it will certainly be interesting to hear what Groot has to say in confession!
