Nice episode. History buff here as well. My advice, visit Turkey. The history of Istanbul and Ephesus (Which is a 7 hour ride from Istanbul.) will blow your minds. The library at Ephesus is right up there with Alexandria.
Matt, to connect with your roots, you can then take a ferry from Istanbul that goes up the Bosphorus through the Black Sea straight to Odessa. Wild shit.
