Mack Talks To THE Sir-Mix-a-Lot On This Week’s Bunny Ears Podcast
Happy Bunny Ears Podcast Day! (Not technically a national holiday … yet). On this week’s episode, host Macaulay Culkin talks to Sir-Mix-a-Lot. As in, the multi-platinum rapper, songwriter, producer, and—yes—fellow ’90s icon.
Mack and Mix discuss the origins of Mix’s now-iconic “Baby Got Back,” how to use your platform to talk about important issues without sounding preachy, and whether or not Mix does, in fact, call his junk an “anaconda.” They also touch on what it’s like to still be known for a thing you did literally decades ago.
The guys then hop on over to sports talk, discussing everything from their favorite teams to their love-hate relationship with Tom Brady.
We find out that Mix is a total DIY sound guy (he personally wired his entire home recording studio) and he explains why he never settled down and started a family. The dudes discuss how much they dislike Canadian border patrol and share tales from the road (Mix once got mistaken for a pimp on his way to a gig. It wasn’t a good scene).
