Welcome, listeners! This week on the Bunny Ears podcast, Macaulay Culkin talks to Bob Saget. Comedy fans will know Bob as one of the most talented and well-respected comics around, and non-comedy fans will likely know him from his years starring on Full House (and Fuller House!) as consummate dad Danny Tanner. It was a (delightfully) ambling, fascinating, and at times incredibly moving two hours (yes—Mack and Bob talked on Mack’s couch for over two hours, which is why we’re releasing this conversation in two parts).

In Part 1, listen to Bob explain why people think he’s high all the time, as well as why the current hour of comedy he’s working on is both one of the hardest and most meaningful of his career. The pair discuss trying to say something real without being “political” in the current climate, and Mack then somehow transitions into his animal woes (his dog Panda pissed on his new rug).

The guys agree that Yoko didn’t break up The Beatles and lament about how artists aren’t allowed to evolve without backlash (something Bob has experienced first-hand in his long career in comedy). Bob then tells the story of how he once took Garry Shandling, George Wallace, and Jerry Seinfeld to Disneyland.

AND THAT’S JUST PART 1. (Part 2 comes next week!)

If you want to see more of Bob, find him on Twitter here and Instagram here. And if you want to do something really special, donate to The Scleroderma Research Foundation (Bob is on the board and delves into how the disease has impacted his life and family in Part 2). And, as always, if you want more Mr. Macaulay Culkin, follow him on Instagram hereTwitter here, and subscribe to his YouTube channel (where he posts a wealth of hilarious content) here.
